AH&LA's
National Energy Procurement Program Benefits the Bottom
Line
As part of the AH&LA's ongoing efforts to bring our members added value
through cost savings programs, we have contracted with Ernst &Young (E&Y)
Energy Advisory Services to administer a National Energy Procurement Program.
This voluntary program is designed to provide cost-effective energy procurement
services by leveraging our large membership base to obtain highly competitive
energy prices and discounted advisory fees.
The program offers the following
benefits:
- Discounted (preferred) electricity and natural
gas pricing not otherwise available on an individual basis.
- Allows members to obtain deeply discounted procurement
service fees.
- Cost savings or control opportunities to members
before they have to commit to participate.
- Members determine their procurement strategy with
advisory assistance from E&Y and benefit from E&Y's experience
in multi-state competitive energy procurements, market assessments,
market timing, supplier prequalification, and favorable contract
terms.
- Continuous monitoring of energy markets identifies
future savings opportunities for members.
- Access to a web-based information platform providing
specific procurement and market information that aids in preparing
budgets and making procurement and energy efficiency decisions.
